PHOTOGRAPHY, PUBLISHING, BRAND & DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
[Face In Time | ArtPrize 2011 | Grand Rapids, Mich.]

In 3 canvas photo pods and a 1965 Airstream Overlander, dozens of volunteers and photographers came together to shoot portraits of everyone who walked down the 100 block of Monroe Center in Grand Rapids during ArtPrize.

We captured over 100,000 images of over 40,000 attendees, created a database of every photograph in a span of 3 weeks, and made it available online to everyone who participated.

With www.faceintime.com, every single image was there for the whole world to see. Every grinning kid, kissing couple and family dog who struck a pose in front of our lens. An  e-commerce engine allows you to order your picture as a digital download or a print.

Within a month, we published a 420-page book of every picture taken. It let's the consumers take in everything and everyone that came through and see how they worked together to create a brand: Face In Time.

It was a technical achievement, to say the least. But what we're really proud of isn't our ability to execute such a large, public undertaking but instead how we were able to get a city full of everyday people excited to be a part of it.
